书评: 三体 (地球往事)

Halfway through the first volume, I said, “This is a solid if unremarkable effort by a Chinese writer in a primarily Western genre. I am not going to read the rest of the trilogy.” However, the second half was so dramatic and satisfying that I changed my mind.

Halfway through the second volume, I said, “This is like Matrix Reloaded, a bad sequel that shows the brilliance of the first installment was but a lucky accident.” However, the second half was so dramatic and satisfying that I came to regard 刘慈欣 as the pride of a nation.

I just finished the third volume. I am awestruck.
