apply: Spawning child process: Invalid argument
你是用的windows吧，windows下只能用shell，eshell，如果用term，multi-term的话，都会报这个错，spacemacs的话可以在 dotspacemacs-configuration-layers 里对shell layer 进行下设置
(shell :variables
shell-default-shell 'shell) ;; or eshell
试试这样能否解决问题

补充问一下，为什么不用client模式，同样的配置却是可以正常调用
这个我也不太清楚
